Sinusitis vs. Sinus Infection
It usually is preceded by a cold, allergy attack, or irritation by environmental pollutants. Unlike a cold, or allergy, bacterial sinusitis requires a physician's diagnosis and treatment with an antibiotic to cure the infection and prevent future complication. |
Sinusitis is a condition which is caused by a bacterial and mucus blockage in the sinus cavities. When a person has a cold or allergy, swelling of the sinus cavity lining occurs. When bacteria get into the sinus cavities and attack the already swollen lining, greater inflammation occurs and as a result, the cilia can no longer flush out the trapped bacteria and mucus and the sinusitis infection begins. The sinusitis is considered acute sinusitis when it has existed for less than twelve weeks. Some of the problems that a person may have with acute sinusitis are cough, congestion, postnasal drip, green nasal discharge, and facial pain and pressure. When the sinusitis lasts for twelve or more weeks it is considered chronic and may have added problems like loss of sense of taste and smell and the person may become fatigued.
There many treatments for acute and chronic sinusitis to treat the bacterial infection and the problems that comes along with it. One commonly used treatment is nasal sprays. Nasal sprays usually only offer relief to the lower part of the sinuses since their particle size is too large to make it past the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities and up to the sinusitis infection. Another frequently used treatment is oral antibiotics which work on several types of infections by flowing through the blood stream to the infected area. In the sinus cavities however, there are only a small amount of blood vessels so it is difficult for an efficient amount of medication to be delivered to the sinusitis infection.
Sinus Dynamics works differently to fight sinusitis and any of the problems that a person may experience along with it. Sinus Dynamics uses nebulized antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and anti-fungals in a 3.2-micron particle size to work quickly and easily to get past the inflammation and up to the sinusitis infection. Since this new form of treatment uses topical medications, there is less of a chance of side effects since less medication gets into the blood stream and travels throughout the rest of the body. Sinus Dynamics 98% success rate clearly shows that it is the safest and most effective form of sinusitis treatment.
