Sinusitis Frontal Symptom

There are four sets of sinuses that are located in and around the face.  The four sinuses are the Frontal Sinuses, Sphenoid Sinuses, Ethmoid Sinuses, and the Maxillary Sinuses and each set is located in the face area.

  • ·         Sinuses are actually air filled hollow cavities that are connected and function to humidify and heat inhaled air, decrease the relative weight of the front of the skull, insulate sensitive structures, increase voice resonance, and provide a buffer against any blow to the face.
  • ·         The frontal sinuses are located in the low center of the forehead and form the hard part of the forehead.
  • ·         The frontal sinuses are located above the sphenoid, ethmoid, and maxillary sinuses.  The sinuses are lined with soft pink tissues called mucosa inside of the nasal passages.  The frontal sinuses are not present at birth but develop between age seven and eight years old typically.  The back of the frontal sinuses are the actual bone that overlies the brain.
  • ·          Inflammation in the frontal sinuses can produce serious complications due to the close proximity to the brain, such as meningitis, orbital cellulitis, epidural and subdural abscesses.  A sinusitis frontal symptom for a sinusitis infection will likely treat the symptoms of headache, facial pressure and possible dizziness.
  • ·         The need to drain the sinuses is vital to return quality of life and functional breathing.  Drainage is required for symptom relief of any of the paranasal sinuses.  A sinus or nasal obstruction will require drainage to return to a functional level.  Drainage is the act or process of drawing off fluids from a cavity or wound by means of suction or gravity.

Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses caused by a blockage in the sinus cavity caused by foreign debris.  The blockage of bacteria, fungi or virus also triggers excess mucus production in the sinus cavities and inflammation due to the pathogens attacking the sinus cavity openings.  When the sinus cavity openings are attacked this leads to a more serious sinus infection.  Sinusitis develops typically as a result when there is existing inflammation from a cold or allergy.  When bacteria get into the sinus cavities, they attack the swelling of the cavity lining, causing more inflammation.  During a sinusitis infection, the cilia which are small hairs in the nasal passageways cannot perform their function of removing the debris that is blocked inside the sinus cavity.   There are a myriad of symptoms that take place with a sinusitis infection.  Common symptoms of a sinusitis infection include: cough, upper respiratory congestion, postnasal drip, nasal discharge, fever, facial pain, facial pressure, and fatigue.

What kind of medical attention is required?

One that works!  Sinusitis generally requires medical attention that offered are not necessarily the most effective.  Yes, this is true but it is changing.  Most doctors prescribe oral antibiotics to treat sinusitis as the primary course of treatment.  There is a systemic approach, which is an oral antibiotic and then there is a topical treatment, referred to as aerosol therapy.  The trend is slowly changing about using an oral antibiotic to treat sinusitis with a systemic approach.  Recurrent sinusitis infections are common with the use of oral antibiotics due to the blood vessels inability to provide an effective dose to the site of infection.  The sinus cavities scant supply of blood vessels which are swollen and infected providing all the treatment to the infection results in an ineffective method for treating this area of the body.   In short, it is difficult to effectively treat any sinusitis infection with oral antibiotics.

Who offers the topical treatment?

Sinus Dynamics!  Sinus Dynamics is the only company currently that offers nebulized sinus therapy that is portable and uses custom compounded antibiotics, anti-fungals, and anti-inflammatories  delivered with a pressurized aerosolized mist through a state of the art nebulizer; medication is sent into the sinus cavities.  Sinus Dynamics nebulizer emits a fine medicated mist with 3.2-micron particle size that can rapidly enter the inflamed sinus cavities, depositing medication and making contact with the infection directly.

The aerosolized medicated mist is sent up into nasal passages reaching the actual site of the sinusitis infection, fighting the infection on contact.  Sinus Dynamics’ topical approach to treating sinusitis is particularly effective as medications that are topically applied result in little to no side effects and ensure a low systemic absorption rate as well as reaching the site of infection unlike the other treatment methods prescribed.  Sinus Dynamics sinus therapy is highly effective, easy to use, and safe with a 98% success rate in the treatment of patients who are suffering with sinusitis.  Insurance and billing as well as doctor referral is also handled by Sinus Dynamics.  Call Sinus Dynamics today to obtain a treatment for sinusitis frontal symptom (877) 447-4276.
