Sinusitis Maxillary Symptom

Maxillary sinusitis is inflammation of the maxillary sinus area caused by a blockage of bacteria, fungi, virus or foreign debris in the sinus cavities.  A chronic maxillary sinusitis infection lasts longer than three months and can be caused by many different diseases.  The result of having a blockage of bacteria, fungi or virus is excess mucus production in the sinus cavities and inflammation due to the pathogens attacking the sinus cavity openings.  Sinusitis develops when the inflamed sinus cavity openings are attacked during the course of a cold or an allergy.  This increase of inflammation at the sinus cavity openings leads to a more serious sinus infection that traps bacteria in the sinus cavities.  During a sinusitis infection, the cilia which are small hairs in the nasal passageways cannot perform their function of removing the debris that is blocked inside the sinus cavity. There are a myriad of problems that indicate sinusitis infections.  However, a sinusitis maxillary symptom usually involves facial pain and dental pain.

The sinus cavities

There are four pairs of paranasal sinuses. There are the maxillary, frontal, ethmoid, and sphenoid sinuses.  The function of the sinuses involve warming and heating inhaled air, insulating the surrounding structures e.g. the eyes and nerves, increasing voice resonance, and acting as a buffer against facial trauma.  The Maxillary sinuses are found in the cheek area and above the upper teeth.  When there is a Sinusitis Maxillary Symptom will likely produce pain and pressure around the eyes, cheeks, and teeth.  Complaint of headache and toothache are common when a Maxillary Sinusitis infection has developed.  The roots of the teeth also extend typically through the upper jaw and into the floor of the maxillary sinuses which explains the tooth pain experienced with a maxillary sinus infection.

Common symptoms of a sinusitis infection include: cough, headache, upper respiratory congestion, postnasal drip, nasal discharge, fever, facial pain and facial pressure.  At night, the sinusitis symptoms can worsen when lying down, as mucus and phlegm settle back into the sinuses and throat allowing for congestion, blocked airways and nasal discharge to take place.  A diagnosis of chronic sinusitis can also result in a reduction in the sense of smell and taste.  In addition, Chronic sinusitis is associated with nasal polyps, subdividing the diagnosis of chronic sinusitis cases with or without polyps.  As the causes of chronic sinusitis is poorly understood exploring environmental factors, like dust and mold, bacteria, fungus, and pollution are useful in causation.

Although your physician can prescribe the good ol’ oral antibiotic, there is another route of administration available: aerosol therapy.  Sinusitis that is acute or chronic will typically require a prescription and there are several different treatment options available. Oral antibiotics are over prescribed and use the blood stream to deliver medications through the blood vessels in the sinus cavity.  The sinus cavities cannot effectively deliver medication with the limited supply of blood vessels in the sinus cavity.  However, a topical treatment can deliver medications and this method is a nasal administration.

Nasal Administration

Sinus Dynamics’ offers custom compounded antibiotics, anti-fungals, and anti-inflammatories that are delivered topically into the sinus cavities with a state of the art nebulizer.  The nebulizer emits a fine medicated mist with 3.2-micron sized particle that can rapidly enter the inflamed sinus cavities and fight through the bacteria, reaching the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities. Sinus Dynamics offers the most effective treatment for all types of sinusitis infections by delivering medication directly in the sinus cavity.  The medication reaches the site of infection through the pressurized aerosolized mist that can then travel up into the inflamed sinuses.  The aerosolized medicated mist is sent up into the actual site of the sinusitis infection, fighting the infection on contact.  Sinus Dynamics’ topical approach to treating sinusitis is highly effective as medications that are topically applied result in little to no side effects and ensure a low systemic absorption rate.  Sinus Dynamics sinus therapy is highly effective, easy to use, and safe with a 98% success rate in the treatment of patients who are suffering with sinusitis infections. Call Sinus Dynamics (877) 447-4276 today to order your treatment for your sinusitis maxillary symptom
