Sinus Infection Symptoms

Sinus infection symptoms typically include:

·         a runny nose

·         excessive mucous secretion

·         headache

·         facial pressure, particularly on the sides of the nose, on the cheeks and near the eyes

·         fever

·         coughing

·         sore throat

·         difficulty in breathing

·         congested nasal passages

·         post nasal drip

·         fatigue / weakness

There is an endless list of sinus infection symptoms.  By just looking at these symptoms you can see that these symptoms are not unique to sinus infections.  A number of other illnesses can also produce any of the above listed sinus symptoms.

The best way to determine whether your symptoms indicate that you have a sinus infection is to have a doctor do a checkup, which might include a culture.  Be sure to let your doctor know about what your symptoms are and the conditions you have been exposed to.  For instance, have you been exposed to anyone who currently has an infection?  Is your environment clean and free of fungi, bacteria, viruses, or allergens?  These organisms might have found their way into your sinuses causing a sinus infection.

It is best to observe your symptoms together with your doctor.  Learn as much as you can about the triggers for sinus infection or an attack on your immune system, remembering that our bodies are constantly fighting off many infections.  Being aware of what types of conditions give rise to infection is a great start in fighting sinus problems. There are some sinus infection symptoms that can last for more than three months.  After three months of having a sinus infection, it is very likely the sinus infection has become chronic.  Simple sinus infection symptoms usually disappear and go away within a few days unlike chronic sinus infections which require medication and a doctor’s care to eradicate the infection.

Once you understand the nature of your sinus condition, you can decide upon a course of treatment for your sinus infection. There are those who choose to tackle the sinus infection one symptom at a time. This approach to symptom management might be effective for short periods of time with a less virulent infection.  However, if you want to be more efficient and preventative in eradicating the sinus infection it is more prudent to attack the infection directly with an antibiotic for example.

To attack the sinus infection directly you can use a nebulizer which is a topical approach to treatment.  A nebulizer is a great tool to use in fighting a sinus infection as medication is sent directly into the sinus cavity where the source of the infection resides.  Sinus Dynamics has a top of the line nebulizer that emits a very fine mist of custom compounded medications designed to treat conditions such as a sinus infection, rhinitis, allergies and other sinus conditions.  The fine medicated mist of the Sinus Dynamic Nebulizer is able to reach the sinus infection as the medicated mist can travel through the infected sinus passage and attack the infection directly. Sinus Dynamics treatment approach is one of the most effective methods in treating a sinus infection currently available.  Effective and fast treatment is available for treating sinus infections.  It is no longer necessary to struggle with a slow recovery from sinus infections and taking oral antibiotics.  Let a Sinus Dynamics representative assist you with a treatment method approach for you sinus condition or ask your physician to prescribe this treatment for you.
