Sinusitis Disease

There are a few serious genetic diseases that produce chronic sinusitis disease and impairment in sinus functioning:  Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sarcoidosis.  Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), also known as Kartagener’s Syndrome and immotile ciliary syndrome is an autosomal recessive rare genetic disorder that impairs the functioning of the microscopic cilia cells.  The cilia are small hairs that line the sinuses, respiratory system, Eustachian tubes and fallopian tubes and function to remove mucus from the sinuses, lungs and ears.  The cilia, like the heart cells also beat and move mucus from the throat and sinus.

The cilia beat in synchronization approximately 7 to 22 times in per second and any cilia motility impairment can result in impairment in mucociliary clearance, with upper and lower respiratory infection.  When there is impairment in the ciliary functioning, there is a reduction or an absence of mucus from the lungs which results in a high susceptibility for sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and otis media.  Those suffering with cilia dysfunction will face a myriad of health issues and susceptibility to diseases that affect the ear, nose, throat, lungs and reproduction.  Sinusitis is commonly diagnosed in those suffering with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD).

CF issues

Cystic Fibrosis also known as CF, is another autosomal recessive genetic disease which affects the entire body causing progressive disability and an early death as result of defects in the DNA.  Scarring and cyst formation in the pancreas are diagnostic criteria for CF.  Impairment in breathing is the signature symptom resulting from lung infections, sinus infections, poor growth, infertility.  Cystic Fibrosis is a mutation in the gene that is responsible for regulating the components of sweat, digestion, and mucus found predominantly in the Caucasian population.  The majority of CF patients have chronic sinusitis often with polyps that require surgery. This dysfunction produces the accumulation of thick and sticky mucus which results in clogging of the airways due to mucus build up.  The mucus build up in CF causes inflammation and infection that can also result in structural changes in the lungs.  Chronic sinusitis disease is often diagnosed in those suffering with Cystic Fibrosis.

Genetic Diseases

Sarcoidosis, also known as Besnier-Boeck disease is a rare disorder that produces an abnormal collection of inflammatory cells or granulomas in the sinuses or lungs with a cobblestone appearance.  The cause of Sarcoidosis is not known but it is believed to be due to be an abnormal stimulation of the immune system, occurring more frequently in those of African descent and in women.  Treated with anti-inflammatories to reduce swelling throughout the body, and at times requiring surgery to remove obstructions caused by scarring and inflammation in the sinus cavities. The cobblestone granulomas produce obstruction and often result in sinusitis infections.

Sinusitis is caused by a blockage of bacteria and mucus in the sinus cavities.

Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses caused by a blockage in the sinus cavity caused by foreign debris.  The blockage of bacteria, fungi or virus also triggers excess mucus production in the sinus cavities and inflammation due to the pathogens attacking the sinus cavity openings.  When the sinus cavity openings are attacked this leads to a more serious sinus infection.  Sinusitis develops typically as a result when there is existing inflammation from a cold or allergy.  When bacteria get into the sinus cavities, they attack the swelling of the cavity lining, causing more inflammation.  During a sinusitis infection, the cilia which are small hairs in the nasal passageways cannot perform their function of removing the debris that is blocked inside the sinus cavity.   There are a myriad of symptoms that take place with a sinusitis infection.  Common symptoms of a sinusitis infection include: cough, upper respiratory congestion, postnasal drip, nasal discharge, fever, facial pain and facial pressure.

Advanced technology: Sinus Dynamics

Sinus Dynamics’ offers custom compounded antibiotics, anti-fungals, and anti-inflammatories that are delivered topically into the sinus cavities with a state of the art nebulizer.  The nebulizer emits a fine medicated mist with 3.2-micron sized particle that can rapidly enter the inflamed sinus cavities and fight through the bacteria, reaching the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities. Sinus Dynamics offers the most effective treatment for all types of sinusitis infections by delivering medication directly in the sinus cavity.  The medication reaches the site of infection through the pressurized aerosolized mist that can then travel up into the inflamed sinuses.  The aerosolized medicated mist is sent up into the actual site of the sinusitis infection, fighting the infection on contact.  Sinus Dynamics’ topical approach to treating sinusitis is highly effective as medications that are topically applied result in little to no side effects and ensure a low systemic absorption rate.  Sinus Dynamics sinus therapy is highly effective, easy to use, and safe with a 98% success rate in the treatment of patients who are suffering with sinusitis infections.  Call Sinus Dynamics today to order your treatment for your sinusitis disease infection (877) 447-4276.
